These types of programs can also be used to allow for a hybrid type classroom in which learning is done online as well as in a classroom setting. For my project I created an online class based around biology. I allowed students to search the web and learn about various aspects of biology. Students had several assignments and then ended up having the opportunity to take quizzes and learn about the assignment all online.

This type of learning places a large amount of importance on the students. The student is not forced to login and check everything that may be posted on the site. It is left up to the students to show the responsibility to take the time to complete the assignment. This type of learning can be highly beneficial to students before entering college by giving them an idea of how a college class works. I feel that this is an outstanding part about these programs and should be noted.
